TWO youths were found with shopping trolleys filled with fireworks worth around £1,000 in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police PCSOs attended reports of the explosives being set off on Duncombe Road, off Ingleby Road, last week.
They found two youths with fireworks in the trolleys and detained them.
Further enquiries showed they had been stolen from a store on the nearby Whetley Lane earlier that evening.
A spokesperson for the force said: "PCSO 283 Rushforth and PCSO 464 Hussain were called to reports of fireworks being set off last week on Duncombe Road.
"Upon arrival, they discovered two youths with two shopping trolleys jammed full of fireworks to the value of approximately £1,000.
"The youths were detained and following further enquiries it was established the fireworks were stolen earlier the same evening from a store on Whetley Lane, Bradford.
"The owner was contacted and fireworks returned to him."
