WORK is well underway on a new Burger King in Bradford – with the fast-food giant saying the site will open later this year.
Plans for a drive thru branch of Burger King on the former Union Mills site on Harrogate Road, Eccleshill were approved in Summer 2022.
Now the shell of the building has been built, and the company has applied for planning permission for new signage across the site.
Currently the only Burger King in Bradford is in the Broadway Shopping Centre.
The former Union Mills site is currently home to a Lidl and Starbucks, but the second phase of the development will include the Burger King and two large industrial units.
The Telegraph & Argus asked the company when it planned to open its new Bradford branch.
A spokesperson for Burger King said: “We can confirm that a new site will be opening in Bradford this year.
“We're excited to open a restaurant in the area, and we will be in touch closer to the launch to reveal the official opening date."
