FOUR patients are believed to have been involved in a 'very serious' three-car crash on Dirkhill Road in Bradford tonight (Wednesday).

A huge response from emergency services have reportedly been called to the scene in Dirkhill Road, in the Little Horton area, just before 8pm tonight.

Earlier, in an unrelated incident, police had been scrambled to another serious road traffic collision in Bradford, after a child pedestrian was injured in Otley Road.

In relation to Dirkhill Road, a spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "The incident is ongoing. We received a call at 7.52pm today to a report of a collision involving three vehicles on Dirkhill Road, Bradford.

"We dispatched four ambulances and a team leader to the scene.

"At this stage, we're still on scene but we understand that four patients are involved."

One local resident called it a "very serious" and "massive incident" and he said that a lot of ambulances were at the scene.

He said it happened near the junction of All Saints Road and that he had witnessed seven prior crashes there.
