LEEDS Bradford Airport (LBA) has told passengers to adhere to the existing rules as they install advanced scanners.
The airport, based in Yeadon, announced it would be upgrading its security infrastructure last November.
The upgrades mean passengers will no longer have to remove items from their hand luggage during security checks.
New body scanners are currently being installed.
But the airport has warned passengers whilst this work is ongoing, they must stick to the current rules.
These include packing liquids in clear plastic bags and having large electronic devices ready for removal.
A post on the airport's Facebook page said: "LBA is currently installing advanced scanners to enhance the passenger experience.
"Whilst these works are undertaken, all passengers should adhere to the current rules, including packing liquids in clear plastic bags (not exceeding 100ml) and having large electronic devices ready for removal.
"Some customers may experience the new equipment whilst works are ongoing, but for now, we ask that all customers adhere to the existing rules."
