A DERELICT city centre building can be converted into a café after plans were approved by Bradford Council.
A vacant section of warehouse on Nelson Street, a short distance from Trafalgar House Police Station and New College Bradford, will be refurbished and converted under the proposals.
Part of the building, known as Enterprise House, will become a café. The other section will be converted into a self-storage facility.
The application, by Chander Properties LTD, has now been approved by Bradford Council.
Planners said: “The proposal relates to an existing industrial building which is within a sustainable location within the city centre and close to public transport facilities on offer with a bus stop situated to the front of the site.
“The building is currently vacant and has fallen into a state of disrepair.
“The proposal will provide employment generating uses within the building which is well served by public transport with the proposed uses to provide services for local people and the surrounding businesses.”
The application said the self-storage facility would be open 24 hours a day, while the café would open between 7am and 5pm.
