LATEST NEWS: Driver crashed into lamppost and injured themselves trying to evade police
A PERSON was rushed to hospital after a car crashed into a lamppost on Saturday night.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene, on Old Park Road, Idle, at 10.30pm.
It happened at a mini-roundabout near Springdale Crescent, and debris from the vehicle could be seen this morning.
There were also several skid marks on the grassed area of the mini-roundabout, where the lamppost was located.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 10.30pm last night (Saturday) to a report of a car in collision with a lamppost on Old Park Road near Springdale Crescent.
"An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Bradford Royal Infirmary."
The T&A has also contacted West Yorkshire Police for a comment.
