RESIDENTS in Baildon have told of their concern over a landslip near their homes.
Engineers have been on site since February 5 after reports of cracks in an embankment near the town's railway station.
As a result, all lines through Baildon are shut.
Network Rail is working to rectify the issue - but disruption is expected to last until mid-March.
Properties have been affected by the landslip and the occupants are continuing to be supported by Network Rail.
Bill Woulds lives near the landslip but his property was not affected.
He said: "We've been here for nearly 30 years and we've never seen anything like this - it is rather worrying.
"The engineers have been working on the site 24 hours a day for the last 10 days or so to try and rectify the issue - it looks like a big job.
"We wish the people in the affected properties well - nobody wants something like this to happen to them."
Another Baildon resident, who did not want to be named, said: "It's a bit worrying but Network Rail seems to be doing a good job of doing something about it."
Bob Watson said his daughter was a regular user of the line from Baildon railway station as she works in Ilkley.
He added: "It is now obviously a pain in the neck for her to get to and from Guiseley to catch a Leeds/Ilkley train.
"The sooner it can be repaired the better, although it does look like a big job."
Richard Owens, infrastructure director for Network Rail's north and east route, said: "We know that this incident is causing disruption to passengers.
"We are working to reopen the line as quickly and safely as we can and I encourage passengers to check their journey before travelling for the latest information, and thank them for their patience and understanding."
Kerry Peters, Northern regional director, said: "All services between Bradford Forster Square and Ilkley remain suspended following the landslip near Baildon station – however, services that run via Bradford Forster Square and Leeds and Leeds and Ilkley are not affected.
"A number of rail replacement services are in operation to ensure passengers can still get to where they want to be and we would encourage customers to 'check before they travel' to see how their journey is affected.
"We will continue to support Network Rail in any way that we can as they continue efforts to re-open the line."
