A DRIVER was arrested after a car was seen swerving and struggling to manoeuvre a corner.
West Yorkshire Police officers were on patrol around the Heckmondwike area on Sunday.
They were alerted to a car in front of them swerving and mounting a kerb on two occasions, said a spokesperson.
Officers stopped the vehicle and said the driver was found to be over the prescribed driving limit.
The individual was arrested and taken to the police station.
A post on the West Yorkshire Police - Batley and Spen Facebook page read: "On Sunday, officers from Batley & Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team on mobile patrol in Heckmondwike were alerted to a driver in front of them swerving and struggling to manoeuvre around the corner mounting the kerb on two occasions.
"The driver was breathalysed producing a reading over the prescribed driving limit.
"The driver was subsequently arrested and taken to Huddersfield Police Station."
