There'll be outbreaks of snow across the Bradford district from Thursday as Yorkshire prepares for an amber alert.
The Met Office has upgraded its snow weather warning for the district and it will remain in place for six hours.
The first amber weather warning lasts from midday until 6pm on Thursday, February 8.
An intense period of snow is expected from Thursday afternoon into the early evening.
There will be a further yellow weather warning covering Bradford district on Friday.
Thursday's amber weather warning could mean some some rural communities may become cut off, cuts to power and other services such as mobile phone coverage, and travel delays.
It comes after the Council's gritting teams were urged to "make sure you're on top of things" before heavy snowfall.
