A CYCLIST was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car.
West Yorkshire Police was called to reports of a collision involving a bike and a white Audi A3 in Layton Lane, Rawdon, Leeds at 12.02pm on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the force said: "The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries."
Members of the public reported seeing an ambulance at the scene, as well as a police presence.
The road was also reportedly closed for some time.
Police have launched an investigation into the crash.
A full statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 12:02pm yesterday (Sunday, 4 February) to a report of a collision on Layton Lane, Rawdon, involving a white Audi Q3 and a bike.
"The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
