TRANSPORT police have issued a statement following a death over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Gargrave on Saturday morning following reports of a person on the tracks.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "We were called to Gargrave station shortly after 10am on Saturday, February 3, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene."
The spokesperson added: "The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
