PEOPLE have been searching for a snake after it was found by a man walking his dogs.
Dave Jackson was out just before 1pm yesterday (Saturday) when he stumbled across the reptile in a field next to High Royds Drive, in Menston.
He asked in the Guiseley and Yeadon issues (and Surrounding Areas) Facebook group: "Has anyone lost a snake?"
Mr Jackson told the Telegraph & Argus: "I have no idea what kind of snake it is, people seem to think it is a corn snake.
"At first, I thought it was a toy then a passer-by touched it with a small stick and it moved."
One commenter on the post said: "Poor thing. It will be frozen, someone please go and get it."
Another person added: "A few of us have been out, no luck. If you go searching it was last seen near the tree line and rabbit holes, close by to the gap in the bushes."
Others advised that someone should contact the RSPCA, or other animal rescue services.
