A RIDER was arrested and an off-road bike was seized by a police officer on a cycle patrol in Heckmondwike.
On Wednesday, PCSO Dyson from Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team was conducting cycle patrols in the Dale Lane area of Heckmondwike in relation to anti-social behaviour involving off-road bikes (ORB).
During patrols, an ORB was sighted by the officer being ridden in the area and the rider was detained.
PCSO Dyson said: “This came about due to good community intelligence allowing me to be in the right area at the right time.
“Enquiries are continuing in relation to the rider who was detained, and the ORB has been seized by police.”
