POLICE busted a "substantial" cannabis grow in Bradford as part of a week of action.
Officers, staff and volunteers from the five policing districts of West Yorkshire showed their commitment to their areas last week with a programme of work in support of the Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action 2024 - a national initiative.
They tackled a number of local priorities with some outstanding results.
In Bradford, officers conducted a drugs warrant at an address in Holme Wood which resulted in a what police described as a "substantial cannabis grow" being located and a 37-year-old man being charged with a production offence.
Elsewhere, Class A drugs and weapons were seized during a house search, and there were also road safety operations in Keighley, which led to the seizure of a quad bike that was suspected to be stolen.
Officers also removed 12 untaxed vehicles from locations around the town.
Policing teams were active in the Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield districts as well.
Alison Lowe OBE, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, said: “Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams do a fantastic job of keeping our communities safe.
“The positive actions achieved last week are just a small reminder of the huge impact neighbourhood policing has across West Yorkshire.”
