PROPERTY believed to belong to a missing man has been found near a river.
Trevor Land, 56, was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon from the Oxford Road area of Dewsbury.
West Yorkshire Police launched an appeal to find Trevor yesterday and then made a further plea to the public on social media this morning.
Another update has since been released this afternoon.
A spokesperson for the force said officers searching for the 56-year-old discovered property that is believed to be his next to the River Calder in Dewsbury, behind the Wickes store.
Trevor's family have been informed and police are continuing searches in that area.
Anyone with any information that can help police with their enquiries should contact them on 101, or using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.

A full statement from West Yorkshire Police this afternoon said: "Police searching for missing Trevor Land have located property believed to be his, next to the River Calder in Dewsbury behind the Wickes store.
"His family have been informed of this latest development.
"Searches are continuing in the area and anyone with information that may assist with ongoing enquiries is asked to contact police via the livechat function on the website or by calling 101 quoting reference 1031 of 30 January 2024."
