POLICE are investigating after a stolen Mercedes was recovered today.
The car, which was found on a road in Shipley, was stolen overnight from the Oakworth area of Keighley.
A spokesperson for the Shipley Area Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said: "PC Verdeyen sighted the Mercedes parked on an unadopted road in Shipley.
"Checks showed the vehicle was stolen overnight from the Oakworth area of Keighley.
"Enquiries are now ongoing to identify those responsible and the vehicle will be returned to its rightful owner."
Shipley NPT officers also seized a vehicle today.
The Shipley NPT spokesperson added: "This morning, officers on mobile patrol spotted this vehicle on Springswood Road, Shipley.
"Checks revealed that the vehicle had no insurance and was seized."
Officers from Bradford police's Steerside Enforcement Team were also busy and seized an Audi.
A spokesperson for the team said: "We stopped for a document check on Killinghall Road today.
"The driver claimed that a friend of a friend had found him an insurance policy that was cheaper than any on comparison sites.
"It turned out to be fraudulent."
