A MAN was caught carrying an axe in Bradford.
Ian Wilson, 46, of Brentford Road, in Low Moor was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on January 2 for possession of a knife blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place.
He pleaded guilty to the offence on November 23 at the same court.
Court records show Wilson was found to have an axe in a public place in Bradford on October 24, 2023.
Wilson was handed a community order by the court, which includes a three-month electronically monitored curfew.
He must remain at his home between 7pm and 7am every day, until April 1.
The court also ordered Wilson to complete up to 10 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days and to pay £199.
This bill includes costs of £85 and a surcharge of £114 to fund victim services.
An order was also passed for the axe to be forfeited and destroyed.
