POLICE patrols are being stepped up after a spree of crimes in a Bradford district area.
West Yorkshire Police said garages, sheds and outbuildings were broken into in the Denholme area overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday this week.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "As a result, local policing teams will be putting extra patrols in place over the coming weeks."
They added: "People don't often secure their shed or garage in the same way they do their homes.
"People often end up using a flimsy lock or padlock to protect the contents.
"Burglars know sheds are a weak point when it comes to security and often see them as easy targets."
Officers are urging people to make sure their outbuildings are "more secure and less attractive to criminals".
