EXPANSION work at Bowling Cemetery has been hailed as what happens “when we come together as a community”.
More space for Muslim burials is being created at Bowling Cemetery as part of £2.38million plans.
The project launched this week alongside Bradford Council leader Susan Hinchcliffe, deputy leader Imran Khan, Bradford East MP Imran Hussain, and other local representatives.
A spokesperson for Janaza Announcements, a Muslim bereavement service, said: “It's amazing to finally witness the beginning of the expansion work.
“We're so grateful to everyone who played a part in making this happen, especially Imran Hussain MP, leader Susan Hinchcliffe, deputy leader Imran Khan, and the local councillors.
“This achievement truly belongs to all of us, and we can't thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.
“It's a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when we come together as a community.”
