MASKED thieves broke into a garage in a village west of Keighley over the weekend and stole four bikes before making off across fields.
Police say two of the bikes were abandoned and have now been recovered, while the more valuable electric bike and a distinctive motor cross bike are still missing.
CCTV images show masked suspects in Woodland Street, Cowling, at 12.50am on Sunday when entry to the garage was made by smashing a side window.
A police spokesperson said: "(The suspects) left the scene via fields which lead onto Fold Lane, Cowling. The suspects discarded two lower value mountain bikes in a field and have then ridden off on a stolen electric bike and stolen motor cross bike down Fold Lane. The two mountain bikes have been recovered by the owner."
The two stolen bikes are described as a Santa Cruise Bullet electric bike in matt Bronze with full suspension and 'MAXXIS' in yellow writing on the black tyres; and a 2022 model ‘21-plate’, Beta RR200 Enduro motor cross bike. The bike is quite a distinctive bike as it is red with specks of black on it. On the two front forks of the suspension there are two stickers which have green writing with the words "SET".
