A MAJOR road was blocked this evening following a crash.
It happened on the Stanningley Bypass, in the direction of Leeds, and emergency services were called to the scene.
One man who passed the incident said he thought it involved a recovery vehicle pulling a car.
"The police had blocked off the road and were directing traffic down towards the Owlcotes turnoff."
Traffic alerts reported: "A647 Stanningley Bypass eastbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to overturned lorry at B6155 Richardshaw Lane."
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 5.34pm to reports of an overturned vehicle with a trailer on the Stanningley Bypass.
"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
"Patients were checked over at the scene and did not need to be conveyed to hospital."
