THE University of Bradford has appointed the youngest students' union CEO in the country.
Aleem Bashir returns to the university's Union of Students (UBU) - where he previously served as an elected Sabbatical Officer from 2015 to 2017.
In the years following that spell, Aleem is said to have carved a distinguished path in project management and business change, showcasing his commitment to driving positive transformations.
The UBU say his wealth of experience and strategic vision positions him as a "dynamic leader".
Hailing from Bradford, Aleem brings a "deep connection to the local community and an unwavering pride in leading the Union".
He said: "I'm excited to be back at UBU, I aim to hit the ground running. There is a lot of work to do.
"Using innovative solutions I will be moving the Union into the 21st century.
"Not only will we modernise the way that we work to interact with students, we will modernise our engagement practises to ensure every student feels their union is accessible to them."
Hamza Khan, the sabbatical officer for Student Affairs, added: "The UBU warmly welcomes Aleem Bashir back to the helm, confident that his dynamic leadership will usher in a new era of innovation, in which our membership can enjoy a modern, exciting and inclusive student experience".
