POLICE are investigating after they discovered drugs inside an abandoned car in the Bradford district.

Officers found the dumped Volkswagen in the Wrose area while they were out on patrol last night.

Police said checks were carried out and drugs and cash were discovered.

The vehicle was seized by officers.

Investigations are ongoing to find the owner of the vehicle and its contents.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "While on proactive patrols, officers from the Windhill and Wrose team sighted the vehicle abandoned in the Wrose area.

"Checks were conducted by officers inside the vehicle, and a quantity of drugs and cash was located.

"The vehicle has been seized. 

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the owner of the vehicle and its contents."
