Looking for an opportunity to connect with leading business figures in Bradford?
NatWest, the University of Bradford, Bradford Council and many other high-ranking organisations have partnered to deliver the Bradford Business Together community launch event.
“Attendees will hear from influential speakers within the Bradford business sphere, as well as network with fellow entrepreneurs from the local area and hear how the supporting organisations can help grow your business” explains Heather Waters from NatWest.
Taking place in the newly-created Entrepreneurs Lounge within the Bright Building, University of Bradford, the community event aims to create a welcoming space for Bradford’s diverse range of companies. Below, Heather reveals the details of the exciting community event.
Reaching your potential
Bradford’s storied history as a major hub for successful commercial activity is well-known. Research from the Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME) indicates that there is still significant potential for growth.
CREME’s report entitled ‘Time for Change’ highlighted the remarkable growth potential of ethnic minority businesses in Bradford – concluding that if the barriers facing these entrepreneurs were overcome, their economic contribution could grow from £25 billion per year to an incredible £100 billion.
“Fostering a collaborative, supportive atmosphere for Bradford’s entrepreneurs is so vital to the prosperity of the region and the overall health of the UK economy,” shares Heather. “Having this dedicated space for businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to well-established companies, to represent themselves and connect with others is an excellent way to stimulate growth.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the business facilities at the Entrepreneurs Lounge, and forge strong bonds with the partners as well as fellow local firms. The Bradford Business Together partner organisations will also be on hand to discuss the support they can offer businesses looking to take their next step.
Championing Bradford’s businesses
Breaking down barriers and supporting the continuing success of Bradford’s entrepreneurs are two overarching aims of Bradford Business Together. Home to a flourishing commercial sector, the voices of individual companies become amplified through close collaboration.
Prominent representatives of Bradford’s businesses will be in attendance, in the audience as well as the speaker panel. “Celebrating the heritage of Bradford, particularly within the business community, is essential for promoting inclusivity and growth,” adds Heather.
