A CHARITY day to help raise funds for children will be held in June at Bradford Golf Club.
Due to the success of its inaugural charity golf day last summer, the Principle Trust is holding this year’s event on June 20 at the same venue, Bradford Golf Club, near Hawksworth and Guiseley.
"We’re raising vital funds to provide free respite holidays to children from Yorkshire who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or who have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse," a spokesperson said.
"Our aims are to help to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and their families at a time when their circumstances may prove difficult or challenging.
"As well as this, we want all children to experience the fun and excitement of what a holiday or time away can bring.
"We know that a break away in a different environment can open up opportunities for children getting involved in different activities which can help to boost confidence and help with social interaction."
The day costs £400 per team of four people, and each ticket includes a breakfast roll and hot drink on arrival, 18 holes of golf, dinner and entertainment in the evening.
