AN inquest has been opened after a young man originally from Bradford was allegedly murdered shortly before Christmas.
Daniel Rae, 30, died in a property on Princess Street, Treforest, South Wales, on the evening of December 17.
Police reported he had been assaulted.
Three young people were charged with murder following Mr Rae's death.
His family paid tribute to him in a statement which said: "Daniel, our son, brother, and loving father has been taken away from us far too soon and we are truly devastated.
"He had a huge, and the warmest, heart, having such a caring, funny and loving personality. He loved his family and friends, always putting them first.
"We will miss you unconditionally - we always treasure the memories we made together.
"We will always love you."
Mr Rae's inquest was opened at Pontypridd Coroners' Court yesterday and adjourned to allow criminal proceedings to take place.
