AN inquest has been opened into the death of a mum who worked as a receptionist at the John Smith's Stadium in Huddersfield.
Lacie O'Brien died aged 36 in October last year, Bradford Coroners' Court heard this morning.
The brief inquest opening, overseen by assistant coroner Angela Brocklehurst, heard Ms O'Brien was single and worked as a receptionist.
She died in Huddersfield on October 22 last year.
Ms Brocklehurst said she was awaiting further reports on the case and adjourned the inquest to a later date.
Last month, Huddersfield Giants - whose home is the John Smith's Stadium - paid tribute to Ms O'Brien in a statement.
It said: "All at Huddersfield Giants and the John Smith's Stadium would like to remember one of our own, Lacie O'Brien, who sadly passed away on October 22.
"Working on reception at the stadium for a number of years, Lacie was a popular member of staff and a familiar face to all who worked here.
"Aged just 36, Lacie is survived by her two much-loved young daughters, and the thoughts of all at the club are with her family and loved ones at this sad time.
"Once a Giant, always a Giant."
