AN air ambulance rushed to the scene of a crash on the M62 where a car overturned.
The M62 Westbound was blocked for around an hour following the two-vehicle collision this teatime.
Firefighters rescued the individual stuck in the vehicle who is now in the care of the Yorkshire Ambulance service.
There was queuing traffic from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor).
The collision occurred at around 6pm this evening.
In a latest update at 7.45pm, the T&A's Traffic & Travel page said: "Road cleared, overturned vehicle removed on M62 Westbound from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor).
"The motorway was blocked for around an hour.
"An air ambulance attended the scene."
A Technical Rescue Unit was sent along with crews from Huddersfield and Rastrick fire stations.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, who received the report at 6.38pm, said: "Road traffic collision between two cars.
"One vehicle was on its side.
"One person was rescued by fire service from the overturned vehicle and is in the care of Yorkshire Ambulance."
