Officers from the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) made the arrest after stopping a vehicle on Ovington Drive, Holme Wood, last night.
A spokesperson for Bradford South NPT said officers managed to bring the vehicle to a halt after "trying its best to evade" them.
Police said the vehicle "smelled of cannabis" and the man inside was detained and searched.
Officers discovered a large amount of bagged-up cannabis and more than £700 in loose cash.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and two phones were seized for examination.
