A MAN was arrested on suspicion of carrying drugs and a knife after a police chase on a Bradford estate.
Officers from the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) stopped a vehicle on Thursday on the Holme Wood estate.
A spokesperson for the Bradford South NPT said: "On January 4, the team spotted a vehicle driving at speed on Dorchester Crescent."
Police started a pursuit and, after the driver "made attempts to evade" them, the vehicle was found parked up.
A man matching the driver's description was discovered nearby.
The police spokesperson said: "The male was detained and after a scuffle found to be in possession of Class A and B drugs and a lock knife.
"A further search of the vehicle found more drugs and two mobile phones.
"The male was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, possessing an offensive weapon, and for driving with no licence and no insurance."
The man denied all offences in interview, according to the spokesperson.
He was charged with possessing an offensive weapon, and driving with no licence or insurance.
Police released him under investigation for the drug offences while the seized items - drugs and phones - are examined.
