THE sky put on quite a show across the Bradford area last night.
Shortly after 8pm, a number of lightning strikes dazzled the district.
Many of our readers were wowed by the sight and submitted some amazing pictures of the bolts via the Telegraph & Argus Camera Club Facebook page and our Send us your News page.
One Bradford resident counted three strikes - one of which was powerful enough to shake houses.
"I have never heard thunder like it, our house literally shook," said a resident from Tyersal.
"It was like we were at the centre of the storm.
"It was pitch black until the lightning lit the sky up."
Other residents remarked on how unusual it was to see lightning during the winter months.
Thank you to everyone who sent us their photos.
