A 13-YEAR-OLD threw a firework in a park a month before Bonfire Night.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons relating to his age, pleaded guilty to throwing, casting, or firing fireworks in a highway, street, thoroughfare, or public place at Harrogate Justice Centre last Friday.
He also admitted to using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
Both offences were committed at the start of October this year in Selby Park, off Park Street.
The teenager was caught launching a firework in the park, as well as being abusive to a female.
