STORM Gerrit has hit Bradford, bringing with it heavy rain and a risk of "fast flowing or deep floodwater".

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the city and surrounding areas, with the alert lasting until 6pm currently.

It covers West Yorkshire, as well as York and North Yorkshire generally, Sheffield, Nottingham, Manchester, and the north-west of England.

There is a risk of flooding and a small chance of "fast flowing or deep floodwater", according to the UK's national weather service.

Multiple flood alerts have also been issued this morning which are impacting Bradford and its surrounding areas.

In Bradford, the maximum temperature is expected to be 12 degrees Celsius, with wind gusts reaching up to 43 miles per hour.
