A HAWORTH barbers is a cut above – and that's official!

Industry Barbers took the overall crown in the Small Business Awards, staged by Keighley MP Robbie Moore.

And it won the Worth Valley area accolade.

Other individual area winners were Boutique Olé in Silsden; Bingley View Dog Park, East Morton, and New Brook Street Deli, Ilkley.

Over 200 businesses across the Keighley and Ilkley parliamentary constituency took part in the contest, and more than 4,500 public votes were cast.

Mr Moore says: "My congratulations go to the fantastic Industry Barbers for taking the top spot as my overall Small Business Awards winner this year.

"It received so many positive comments and messages of support from residents right across the constituency – its award is clearly well deserved!

"I am also extremely proud of all our area winners – their success just goes to show how much customers value and support their brilliant businesses.

"I’d like to thank each and every business and local resident who took part in my Small Business Awards this year. The support shown across our area has once again been absolutely incredible. Let’s continue to do all we can to support our independent businesses and shop local."

Joe Slack, owner of Industry Barbers, said it was "a great honour" to receive the award – and added that the business had faced its challenges.

He says: "Since opening we've encountered two floods and a pandemic!

"The teams at both Industry Barbers and the Industry Barista work so hard to bring something new and unique to Haworth village – our heart and soul goes into the businesses, so to be recognised assures us that all our hard work and perseverance does pay off and we appreciate every last customer, client, friend and team member who helped make it happen.''

Kelly Drummond, owner of Bingley View Dog Park, says: "We were absolutely overwhelmed to win an award. A massive 'thank you' goes to everyone who voted for us. Also a huge 'thank you' to all our friends and family who have helped and supported us along the way. We can't wait to see what the future brings. Roll on 2024!"

And Boutique Olé said it was "thrilled to bits" to be among the winners. "I had no idea when we opened last year that we would ever win an award – I am so pleased!" said a spokesperson.
