AN online fundraiser has been launched to help cover the costs of the funeral of a much-loved teenager from Bradford.
Lewis Priestley, 19, was reported missing from his home in Allerton on December 6.
His body was sadly found in the grounds of Grattan Warehouse on Thornton Road on the evening of December 14.
Lewis's brother Ryan has now set up a GoFundMe page to help the family give him "the best possible send off".
The family has asked the Telegraph & Argus to help promote the page, which has so far attracted more than £1,600 in donations.
Ryan said: "I have set up this fundraiser for this funding of Lewis's funeral as I would like him to have the best possible send off of all time.
"As we all know this can be a difficult time of year for a lot of people so I don't expect you to donate a crazy amount, just what you can afford, and it will help my family out massively.
"Thank you all again for all the love you have given to me and my family.
"RIP Lew."
Tributes continue to pour in
Hundreds of tributes and heartfelt messages have been paid to Lewis over the last week - and they continue to come in.
On the GoFundMe page, one person said: "Rest in peace Lewis. I will forever keep you in my heart."
Another commented: "Sending heartfelt condolences to your family. We are so sorry for your loss. RIP Lewis."
Someone else added: "Rest easy. Thoughts and prayers to the family."
Last week, Labour Councillor Shakeela Lal, who represents the City ward on Bradford Council, told the Telegraph & Argus: "This is so incredibly sad - I was very upset to learn what had happened.
"All our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lewis at this time.
"It's absolutely tragic."
Paying tribute on the Telegraph & Argus' Facebook page, Courtney Stevens said: "Thinking of his family - right before Christmas too."
Lisa Terry said: "Heartbreaking."
Helen Mcleod commented: "My heart breaks for you and all your family."
Debbie Nudds added: "I was hoping there (would be) a happy outcome. Thinking of all the family at this sad time. RIP sweet angel."
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Lewis's death.
They added that the coroners' office had been notified.
