MORE than 30 gifts have been donated to children in hospital thanks to a long-running initiative.
Saveco Cash and Carry distributed the presents to youngsters at the children's ward in Airedale Hospital.
It was part of the Creating Smiles Gifts Initiative, now in its 11th year, which is co-ordinated by Nazim Ali.
He said: "I express my gratitude to Shiraz Ahmed and Fairaz Ahmed, managing directors of Saveco Cash and Carry, for their kind and selfless ongoing support.
"They have been the main sponsors for the Creating Smiles Gifts Initiative - supporting both Airedale and Bradford Royal Infirmary children's wards - which has been running for 11 years now.
"This was the fifth distribution of 2023.
"They have kindly donated thousands of pounds for these gifts to put a smile on the faces of children."
Shiraz, of Saveco Cash and Carry, said: "We are truly humbled to once more support the fabulous gifts initiative started by Nazim who does so much to help others.
"Knowing so many children will be joyous and excited upon receiving their presents fills myself and Fairaz with happiness."
Karen Reece, play leader at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, gave her thanks and added: "The toys will be a much-needed distraction for the children in hospital."
