POLICE are investigating a case of criminal damage at Bradford Cathedral.
Graffiti was found on the State Gate at the historic site earlier this week.
The incident happened at around 5.45pm on Thursday, according to West Yorkshire Police today.
Sergeant Paul Wharton, of the force, told the Telegraph & Argus: "We have been in contact with the cathedral and arrangements have been made for the graffiti to be removed.
"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information about it, to contact us."
A spokesperson for Bradford Cathedral said: "We received reports of graffiti on the State Gate earlier in the week.
"As this is currently being investigated by West Yorkshire Police, we are unable to comment any further at the moment."
