A TWO-CAR crash on a busy route partially blocked a road and caused traffic problems this morning.
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene after receiving a report of a collision on the A65 New Road at Rawdon.
A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 8.27am on Thursday morning to report a collision between two cars on New Road, Rawdon.
"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene. Two patients were checked over but did not need to be conveyed to hospital."
Traffic alerts reported the road was partially blocked both ways and this was causing heavy traffic in the area.
The crash happened near the junction of Green Lane.
A police spokesperson said that the crash was damage only.
The road is now clear.
