A WOMAN who admitted to causing the death of a pensioner by careless/inconsiderate driving in Bradford will now be sentenced next month.
Amber Hall, 22, of Norman Crescent, Idle, pleaded guilty when she appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court last month.
Barbara Slingsby, 83, was hit by a reversing Volkswagen Polo at the junction of Westfield Lane and Cockshott Lane in Idle at around 12.45pm on July 31.
She was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries and died the following day.
The court heard if the right checks had taken place, Hall would have seen Mrs Slingsby and the collision would have been avoided.
Hall - who has no previous convictions - was visibly emotional as she admitted the charge.
She had been due to be sentenced last Friday.
However, Bradford Crown Court has confirmed today she will now be sentenced on January 25.
Mrs Slingsby was described by her family as "loving".
