SUPERMARKET giant Tesco plans to open a new Express store in Frizinghall, just yards from from Lister Park.
The company will open a new store in Unit 1 of the Parkside Centre, a small shopping precinct on Keighley Road, near Kashmiri Aroma and the entrance to the Manningham park.
The unit is next to the centre’s Subway, and has previously been a Sainsbury’s Local store.
Tesco has submitted a planning application for signage for the new store, as well as a licensing application that would allow the shop to sell alcohol from 6am to midnight.
The Telegraph & Argus has contacted Tesco for more details on the plans, including how many jobs it will create and any possible opening date, but the company has yet to respond.
