A BRADFORD man has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 for failing to comply with police.
George Sanders, 30, of Queens Road, Manningham was found guilty of not responding to a police request, at Sheffield Magistrates' Court last Friday.
It is in relation to a request made in Rotherham by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for South Yorkshire.
The request, made on or after July 4, was for information from Sanders relating to the identification of the driver of a Mercedes who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Sanders did not attend court but he was proved guilty in his absence.
The 30-year-old was ordered by the court to pay £1,034 in total.
This included a £660 fine, a £264 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £110.
The balance must be paid by December 22.
Sanders was also handed six penalty points on his driving licence.
