SHOPPERS will be able to take advantage of a number of new parking places to be introduced by Bradford Council.

They plan to introduce off-street parking places at Central Library, Bradford; Bingley Pool; Sedbergh Sports and Leisure Centre, Cleckheaton Rd, Low Moor; South Hawksworth Street, Ilkley; Victoria Street and Edward Street, Bingley.

The council is also planning to implement revised charges for off-street Parking places at those locations.

A copy of the draft order together with maps showing the affected roads, the affected off street parking places and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY and Bingley Library.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds for your objection in writing either by post to the Director of Legal and Governance, Legal and Democratic Services, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY.

Details of temporary road and footpath closures have been announced by Bradford Council.

Sewer works on or near Back Victor Road North West, Bradford, have necessitated the temporary closure of Back Victor Road North West from the rear of 40 Victor Road to the rear of 42 Victor Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. No alternative routes for traffic affected by the closure are available. The order is in place and remains in force until 6pm on the Friday December 15.

A public footpath is to be closed until May 2024 as works are carried out. Footpath number 624 (Bradford South), in Bierley, is closed for approximately 135 metres from its junction with Bierley Lane to the entrance to Bierley Hall Woods.

No alternative routes for pedestrians are available. The order came into effect on December 1 and will and remain until 6pm on May 1.

An application has been received for a licence to sell alcohol.

Jason Armitage of Spirits and Sports has applied to Bradford Council to use the premises at Spirits And Sports 11-13 Little Horton Lane, Bradford, BD5 0AB to sell alcohol and late night refreshment between 11am and 6am, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
