PART of a main road was closed for several hours after a serious collision this morning.
Police were called to the incident on Stanningley Road, Leeds, shortly after 9am.
Officers said the rider of an electric bike had been seriously injured in the crash.
The eastbound carriageway of Stanningley Road was shut at the junction with Henconner Lane.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area - but the road was fully reopened at around 2pm following collision investigation work.
The incident caused heavy congestion on nearby roads.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said earlier: "A road closure is currently in place on Stanningley Road, Leeds, following a serious road traffic collision.
"At 9.10am today, police were called to the incident where the rider of an electric bike had been seriously injured.
"The eastbound carriageway of Stanningley Road is closed at the junction with Henconner Lane.
"Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes."
