Large emergency response after report of car in beck
Update: Yorkshire Ambulance Service has provided further details
THERE is a large emergency response in the Shipley area tonight following a report of a car going into the beck off Canal Road.
The Hazardous Area Response Team is at the scene.
One T&A reader said they had seen several Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) vehicles go down Canal Road in quick succession, in the direction of Shipley.
A YAS spokesperson said: "Just after 7.30pm, we received an emergency call to say there was a car that had gone into the river."
West Yorkshire Police said it was aware of the incident, but could not provide any further details.
