THE Met Office has issued a warning for Bradford to expect strong winds throughout most of tomorrow.
A yellow warning for strong winds has been put in place for the city by the national weather service on Saturday between 9am until 11.45pm.
The alert also covers Leeds, Wakefield, South Yorkshire, the North-West of England, the Midlands, Wales and part of Cornwall.
The Met Office said it is expecting there to be "strong winds perhaps leading to some transport disruption".
Bradford is set to be very wet tomorrow as well, with the Met Office forecasting at least a 90 per cent chance of rain between 9am and 2pm.
It drops to 60 per cent from then until 6pm, when the chances of rainfall increase to 80 per cent until 11pm.
Wind gusts are expected to rocket from 22 miles per hour to 31mph at 1pm, reaching a peak of 45mph at 7pm and 8pm.
Expected impact of the strong winds:
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
- It’s possible that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
