West Yorkshire Police has issued a statement following a large police presence in the Queensbury area this morning.
Officers scrambled to the village at around 6am.
One resident reported seeing "seven police cars and one police SUV".
They added that the helicopter was also out.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A 16-year-old male was arrested this morning in the Queensbury area on suspicion of a burglary in Leeds.
"He remains in custody at this time."
