FESTIVE hampers are being delivered across the Cleckheaton and Liversedge areas.
Around 140 families are expected to receive a free selection of children’s toys, games, books, sweets, and other treats from the Cleckheaton Christmas Elves.
It comes as the cost-of-living crisis continues to put pressure on family budgets.
Kim Leadbeater, MP for Batley and Spen, paid tribute to the local people and businesses who contributed gifts to go in the hampers.
Head elf Debbie Croft thanked everybody who had supported them so they could “spread kindness and share love to 140 families in our community".
She added: “We have so many to show gratitude to, who have helped make this possible.”
Ms Leadbeater added: “I spent the weekend visiting a variety of Christmas fayres and events, but still found time to join in and help pack some hampers.
"People have been incredibly generous with their gifts, time and money. It shows the very best of our community."
