A WEATHER warning for Bradford is continuing this evening and into tomorrow, as the city experienced a covering of snow.
The Met Office issued a yellow alert for snow and ice in Bradford yesterday - lasting from 6pm on Saturday evening until 12pm today.
But the UK's national weather service has now issued a further yellow weather warning for ice in Bradford - and across much of the North of England, as well as parts of the Midlands.
It began at 5pm and is set to last until 12pm tomorrow.
The Met Office said: "Icy patches are likely to develop this evening and overnight leading to difficult travel conditions".
It is expected there will be icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements, and cycle paths, and the Met Office has warned there may be some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
The warning comes after much of the city experienced varying degrees of snowfall today.
There was a dusting of snow in Idle Recreation Grounds, as well as a wintery scene captured by Telegraph & Argus Camera Club member Steven Feather in Ilkley, which included a section of the river frozen over.
Meanwhile, Granville Haigh - another T&A Camera Club member - took a scenic shot of a covering of snow in Saltaire, near the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
They said: "Adding a little bit of colour to a grey day".
The Met Office predicts Bradford has a 50 per cent chance of light snow at 8pm for an hour, with the likelihood of some snow increasing to 60 per cent from 10pm for three hours.
Temperatures are expected to drop to zero overnight, before climbing a few degrees by 6am.
T&A Camera Club member Paul Dalton captured snow coming down at Guiseley Railway Station this evening.
