THERE are now 10 Post Offices in Bradford where you can send or collect your Evri parcels from today.
The parcel delivery firm announced at the start of November that it had entered a landmark partnership with the historic postal company and has now revealed the Post Office branches offering the service.
Consumers can from today (December 1) send, collect, and return Evri parcels over the counter in more than 2,000 Post Office locations across the country, just in time for Christmas.
The Bradford branches offering Evri’s ParcelShop service are:
- Busy Lane, Shipley (8am-6pm; 9am-5pm; 12pm-5pm)
- Ravenscliffe, (7am-8pm; 7am-8pm; 8am-2pm)
- Saltaire, (8am-9pm; 8am-9pm; 12pm-6pm)
- Tong Street (8.30am-5.30pm; 9am-3pm; closed)
- Trenholme Avenue, Low Moor (9am-9pm; 9am-9pm; 9am-8pm)
- Horton Grange (9am-8pm; 9am-8pm; closed)
- Chellow Grange (9am-7pm; 9am-7pm; 10am-6pm)
- Queensbury (9am-7.30pm; 9am-4.30pm; closed)
- Whitehall Road, Birkenshaw (7am-8pm weekdays; 7am-9pm Saturday; 7am-7pm Sunday)
- Gomersal (6am-10pm; 6am-10pm; 7am-10pm)
This is the first time in the Post Office’s 360-year history that its customers will be able to choose their parcel carrier, from Evri to Royal Mail, over the counter in branches.
People using Evri will be able to hand a parcel directly to a Post Office team member, who will enter address details and apply a label.
This will act as an alternative to using a self-service desk, making the process more accessible.
The partnership will also encourage people to return to their local high street and reduces the impact of vans making multiple stops to drop off parcels.
Typically, parcels sent via a ParcelShop or Post Office will reduce carbon per parcel by 45 per cent.
Evri’s ParcelShop service has more than 11,000 locations to send, collect and return parcels across the UK - which includes lockers, shops and now Post Offices – which makes it one of the biggest branch networks in the UK.
Most ParcelShops and Post Offices operate longer opening hours than traditional retailers.
In-branch pick-up and drop-off is often a more flexible option for consumers, who may not always be at home to receive deliveries.
David Saenz, chief growth officer at Evri, said: “We’re pleased to give local people more choice and convenience when sending a parcel.
“Whether you’re sending a Christmas gift to a loved one or selling second-hand items online, we’re committed to delivering a high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable service with great quality benefits such as tracking as standard and giving consumers yet another reason to keep using Post Offices, so they remain at the heart of our communities.”
