A TIMBER and building merchant has announced its 2023 Christmas toy appeal in aid of the Salvation Army.
Haldane Fisher is encouraging both staff and customers to help spread the joy of Christmas by dropping off new and unwrapped toys at its Heckmondwike branch, on Wormald Street, which will then be donated to children who may not otherwise receive a gift.
Donations are currently being accepted up until Friday, December 8.

Simon Walling, who leads the Haldane Fisher brand in England and the Isle of Man, said: “At Haldane Fisher, we take pride in being a part of the communities we serve, and our Christmas toy appeal is testament to our commitment to fostering the spirit of giving.
“We know that this year has proven tough for many, and we hope that our partnership with the Salvation Army will make a difference in the lives of children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas.
“We are inviting our customers and staff to join us in lending a helping hand through their generous donations. Together, we can make this holiday season brighter for those in need."
